Leaving Canal Campground 10-12

Canal Campground was a great experience in Kentucky with lots of friendly campers all around us.

I returned the boards that I had borrowed to John Stone, the strip mine shovel operator we met. He is showing me the pictures he has of the big shovel we talked about earlier. John and Diane are wonderfully friendly people that we have met on our trip.

We met Ann and Greg from Florida who camped next to us. Greg gave us some great tips about motor homing.

We arrived at Cedar Creek Campground in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee on Oct. 12. It is a spectacular campground along the Cumberland River. 70 degrees greeted us here, but rain is in the forecast for the next couple of days.

This is a Sycamore Tussock Moth Caterpillar that was crawling around the electric hookup at Cedar Creek. It is non-stinging. John thinks he can get me to cozy up to this by the non-stinging comment. I don't think so!
